LEARN FROM MISTAKES : Tulsa Dragfag Firebombing

Learn From Mistakes is a series that examines arrests in cases of radical action. It focuses on what mistakes ultimately led to arrest and state repression. The purpose is to point out common or uncommon mistakes made by revolutionaries and what should have hypothetically been done instead of those mistakes. Learn From Mistakes is largely focusing on Nationalist action, but may in some cases focus on a apolitical or leftist action if it provides a useful or interesting insight. The idea for this post type was submitted to National Radical quite early by an anonymous user, however is completely open to any submitter who has done the research and found facts on a case/arrest. Learn From Mistakes is not for hypothesizing what may have been done wrong, but is for the use of news reports and court indictments to point out provable fact-based points. - National Radical Admins

The Action

On October 31st 2022, in Tulsa Oklahoma a radical smashed the window and threw a molotov into a local coffee/donut shop notorious for allowing pedophile grooming shows in their business. The molotov did minimal damage to the building but sent a clear message. The coffee shop subsequently had to spend $20,000 on security.

Fliers were left at the building stating "The VIRUS is LGBT", "Fight against groomers", and hand written note references Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 King James Version. The Bible reference is as follows :

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

The radical allegedly responsible was later identified and arrested.

Mistakes

There were a number of clear mistakes that led to this conclusion.

  • Making threats

Upon contact with the pedophile coffee shop owner, law enforcement was able to get a name of the radical due to posts he had made on Facebook. He had made threats on a Facebook page about faggot tyranny and how this pedophile garbage is being force fed to children. While he did later delete his Facebook page, information was given to law enforcement pursuant to a warrant. This warrant gave all the information Facebook stores such as his phone number and posts.

  • Bringing phone

After obtaining the Facebook information and associated phone number, Law enforcement found the provider (AT&T) and got a warrant for subscriber information and cell tower data. Cell towers are what mobile phones connect to, they store what devices are connected to them at what times and are an incredibly effective tool for law enforcement.

Upon reviewing the cell tower data, they discovered that the radical's phone number had pinged at his home at around 1 AM, a short time later pinging near the pedophile coffee shop.

  • Keeping items from an action

Law enforcement used these pieces of information to obtain a search warrant for the radical's home. During the search they found newspapers from the day after the action, fliers similar to those placed at the coffee shop, and clothing that appeared to match that scene in the security video footage.

  • DNA

Police did DNA analysis on the note left at the coffee shop and while a match was not explicitly noted, they did find two individual's DNA on the note with one matching a male profile. It's likely that police had enough evidence from other sources and did not need to obtain a DNA match before making an arrest. It's not uncommon for police to obtain DNA via a warrant after an arrest has been made, in order to make their case stronger.

Lessons

The mistakes made are pretty obvious, but a quick run down;

If you're going to act, don't make threats.

  • Letting faggots and pedophiles know they're not welcome in your community and nation is a good thing, but it should be left to people who aren't going to take action. If you are outspoken in resistance to faggotry or any other Nationalist issue, you're going to be at the top of the list for police to investigate should something happen, so pick a lane and stay in it. If you are making threats understand where the limit is between criminal and non-criminal threats and at least try to not use Facebook. Facebook is one of the most intrusive social media websites and stores and tracks an ungodly amount of information.

Don't bring your phone

  • Your phone is the biggest snitch you'll ever know. The amount of information stored by phones huge, from cell tower ping data to app data from Google/Apple to connections to Bluetooth & Wifi Networks. Simply put Leave the fucking phone at home for an action, police may have not had enough to get a warrant for this radicals home without the cell tower data. If you're concerned about directions or maps you would use your phone for, take more time to plan and get familiar with the area you're operating in or use a older car style GPS system (eg Garmin) that doesn't send data out (GPS works just based on triangulating signals from incoming signals from GPS satellite) and smash it up after the action.

Get rid of your gear

  • After basically any higher profile action that goes beyond putting up a sticker or some graffiti you should be ditching everything that you brought. Clothing, shoes, lighters, fliers, hats, weapons, gloves, etc. This radical kept basically everything. It may sound expensive to toss shoes clothing and other tools after an action, but think about it in the context of hiring a lawyer and it's easy to see that getting rid of some attire is much cheaper. Purchasing cheap non-descript clothing in advance with cash can help your security even more and reduce costs. When you get rid of things, it's most ideal to burn them, but in some places such a compact city it may be difficult/impossible to get a decent sized fire going. In those cases bag them up and toss them in a trash can that isn't yours, as it's not uncommon for police investigating someone to go through the trash -- which they can do without a warrant.

Don't be sentimental

  • There is nothing more beautiful than taking action against the enemies of God and our people, however it's important to not get sentimental. Saving newspaper clippings and news stories that can be found can be just another nail in the coffin of a criminal conviction, police in this case called it a 'trophy'. If you are going to save these keepsakes (which again, I advise against) at least be smart about how you save them. Saving them digitally on encrypted drives is by far the best option. Read the post made on NR about The Tails Operating System, using Tails with a Persistent volume is easy to set up and provides strong security, which you should have if you're taking the risk of saving keepsakes.

Be careful how you take credit

  • Making it clear why you took action is important, with rampant crime in many big cities some may just shrug it off as mentally ill black or random act of teen vandalism, part of good action is making it clear why. However in this action putting up fliers and a hand written note introduces a large amount of risk. The radical had similar fliers at home which while circumstantial is quite damaging to a legal defense. He also put up a hand written note, which can be subject to DNA analysis and hand writing analysis. In addition to this, if he was stopped on his way to the action with these items (and the molotov- discussed later) police could likely have made a conspiracy case out of this without him ever taking action. When taking credit at the site of an action, keep it simple and avoid handwriting or anything that can be traced to you, the Highlander Center Arson is a good example of keeping it simple but still making it clear -- without fliers or notes that can examined with forensics. In this case with the Christian motivations it had a cross, triple cross, or Bible reference in graffiti would have been a better option.

  • A safe option for taking credit would be to submit your communique/claim of responsibility to a radical blog/site - as discussed here. Taking credit via submission to National Radical or other sites via Tor&Tails gives you the ability to securely take credit publicly and without censorship, as it's not a guarantee that police/property owners will release what message was left in person. This also allows you to limit your time at a action as your not spending time putting up a flier or graffiti. This also gives you a more larger platform to elaborate on your reasoning or goals.

Avoid Molotovs -

  • A molotov cocktail is fuel in a breakable bottle with some sort of lightable rag or wick on it, once it thrown the bottle breaks and fire happens. They're useful in some scenarios and have a significant cultural symbolism but might not have been the best choice for this action. It's unknown what this radicals intent was behind the action - to send a message or to do significant damage to the business, I support and respect the action regardless. If the intent of the action was to do significant damage, then a molotov wasn't the best option.

  • Big building destroying fires happen when you get lots of fuel and oxygen together to create a strong fire and concentrate that heat as much as possible causing the fire to grow rapidly, molotovs don't do that well due to the limited amount of fuel contained in one.

  • Another key problem with molotovs is that merely owning one is illegal (without ZOG approval via the ATF) and punishable by 5 years. Meaning that if this radical was stopped walking down the street before taking any sort of action he could still get thrown in prison for the molotov, combine that with having the anti-pedophile fliers and ZOG might even make a conspiracy case out of it.

  • A better approach to fire than molotovs is to fill up glass bottles (Perrier bottles work great as you can get a multi-pack with cardboard carrier) with your gasoline (don't do this at a gas station, they have cameras) and carry those to the action with a Zippo lighter (make sure its the lighter fluid kind not the butane ones, butane torches don't stay lit) or box of matches. The bottles are then just bottles of gasoline, without a wick or rag they aren't legally molotovs. If you get stopped by police - your line is that your car ran out of gas and couldn't find the red gas can, if they question or challenge you more shut the fuck up and don't talk without a lawyer. When you get to the action you can then toss them like molotovs and toss a Zippo lighter fluid lighter (purchased with cash) or box of matches onto the fuel from a distance. This will give more fuel and destructive power with less criminal risk to the action.

End

Hopefully this post reviewing an action gave some insight into analyizing things and avoiding pitfalls. May the fire in our hearts stay alive. I hope to write and submit more of these.
